There is nothing like returning to a place that remains unchanged to find the ways in which you yourself have altered.
— Nelson Mandela
It’s been quite a while since we’ve revisited mindfulness. Much has changed.
The wheel of the world is turning, and for those of us in the United States, the weather is getting warmer. The plants are blossoming into their full glory, the sunlight kissing our skin with more vigor each morning.
It is the perfect time to breathe deeply and remind ourselves what our goals were.
Think back to January, perhaps. New Years Day is often a day for setting goals for the year. We’re nearly halfway through.
What progress have we made? Have our goals changed?
Have we changed?
If there was a goal that didn’t get attained thus far, don’t let it cause you suffering.
Inhale, breathe it in; exhale, let it go.
If the goal is important to you, consider a simple step that could be taken today. Try to create smaller goals that will carry you forward.
Rest easy; you will definitely achieve your goals.
